Responsible Citizens’ Summit in Waterloo Region

Intercultural Dialogue Institute (IDI) of Kitchener and Waterloo Region held its 8th Annual Friendship dinner at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kitchener. Over two-hundred distinguished guests attended the dinner. Academics from Wilfrid Laurier and University of Waterloo, local politicians, faith leaders, and business people shared their insights with each other and had a great time during the dinner. This year, IDI decided on “Responsible Citizenship and Social Cohesion” as its main theme of the dinner.

During her speech, Mayor Halloran underlined the great services of IDI Kitchener-Waterloo, and its contributions to the region. The Mayor said that she will continue to support IDI’s activities. The night ended with closing remarks of several academics and local dignitaries.
