The massive tornado that tore through the Oklahoma City suburb of Moore on Monday wiped out blocks of houses, killed at least 24 people and injured about 240.
The death toll of 24 was lower than initially feared, but nine children were among the dead, including seven who died at Plaza Towers Elementary School, which took a direct hit by the deadliest tornado to strike the United States in two years.
We hope that leaders and citizens make a commitment to those affected by offering sustained resources, assistance and prayers.
In this regard, to relieve the grief and losses of those affected by Tornado and to help the people suffering in the aftermath of a powerful tornado that hit Oklahoma on Monday, leaving 24 dead, Northern Lights Relief Foundation in cooperation with several not-for-profit organizations is initiating a Relief Campaign. Several fundraising events, bake sales and online donation campaigns are planned as part of the Relief Campaign. The funds collected through the Campaign will be delivered to the victims either through the American Missions in Canada or through authorized International Agencies.

Once again, we extend our deepest condolences to the victims of the tornado who lost their relatives, homes and their livelihoods. We wish an earliest recovery, materially and spiritually.
