Constitutions have had a profound impact on the law and public policy of nations. The Constitution is widely regarded as shaping important aspects of our collective identity and defining a set of shared values. With this in mind, Intercultural Dialogue Institute in collaboration with Turgut Ozal University organized an International Conference on Constitution and Culture. During the conference, presenters from Canada and Turkey elaborated on issues such as ‘Constitution and Identities’, Constitution and Institutions’ and ‘Constitution and Freedoms”. The Conference was well attended and received by Turkish and Canadian constitutional experts. The presenters from Turkey included Constitutional Court Judges and Rapporteurs, Professors and practitioners, whereas the Canadian delegation consisted of six Constitutional experts from Calgary, Montreal and Toronto.
