Nile Academy has received 2 Silver and 7 Bronze Medals from the Science Olympiad that is being held in Toronto.
Students were very excited and happy after the competition. “We love our school very much. We are trying hard not to disappoint our teachers who are working day and night for us,” they said happily. Grade 1 students, Mesud Ozcan, Taylan Ozcan, Roberto Menzona and Doguhan Duzguner, won bronze medals with their project about how different types of materials absorb water. Grade 5 student, Akif Eren won a bronze medal with his project about which type of water is best for watering plants. Grade 7 and 8 student, Noor Shabir and Feyza Lafci won a Silver Medal by creating a better hand sanitizer than the ones being used at hospitals. Grade 11 students, Sila Babacan and Ezgi Kosak, won a bronze medal for their project about how dandelion tea kills cancer cells in your body.
