Anatolian Heritage Federation held reception at Ottawa City Hall on October 4, 2012. Main guests of the Reception were the Mayor of City Hall, Jim Watson and his councillors. The program began with the introduction video for the Anatolian Heritage Federation. AHF President Mr. Sukan Alkin briefed the guests on AHF’s aims and its member organizations through out Canada and also the ones which are located in the City of Ottawa. Each council members gave remarks for the Turkish communities activities. The Mayor gave his remarks about the Federations members in Ottawa and stated that ‘Community efforts are always great to have in this City, we thank the Turkish community for their efforts in Ottawa”.
Former Speaker of the House of Commons Mr. Peter Milliken gave his remarks and wished the AHF and its member organizations all the best for their efforts. Each speaker was given a plaque after their speech. Then everyone was invited for a delicious Turkish Culinary. The reception closed of with a live performance by Anastasia Filipova.
