Embrace Islamic Society Eid Al-Adha Dinner
Eid al Adha is the most significant of two Eid festivals and hence, it is known as “Greater Eid”. This date commemorates Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son at God’s command and God’s graciousness to save his son and replace him with a ram. Muslims around the world, who are financially able, sacrifice a sheep on this date and have a celebration with friends and family. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm among Muslim communities across the world.
Embrace Islamic Society held a special luncheon with its volunteers and their invitees from all communities. The program marked the ability to live in harmony and the culture of sharing. The event also includes getting together, feasting, charity and giving gifts to each other. Volunteers organized different games for the kids and had a small competition which after that children were awarded with a variety of gifts.
