Nile Academy received an Honorable Mention at the 2015 International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering, and Environmental Project (I-SWEEEP) Olympiad in Houston Texas. I-SWEEEP, held in May this year, is organized by the Cosmos Foundation, a non-profit educational organization in Houston. The event welcomed over 1,000 young scientists from over 70 countries. Grade 11 students Mert Serinken and Gurhan Uzum received an Honorable Mention in the senior Environment category for their project, “Preventing Formaldehyde Emission in the Particle Boards while
using Cupule (bur) of Endangered American Chestnut (Castanea Dentate)”.
