Celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, the guests enjoyed numerous performances held by the Living Arts Centre and other Canadian institutions. Our Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) should be perceived as a role model to achieve peace, brotherhood and friendship detached from pretension. Programs were held by many cities, and they ended with prayers and ilahis – songs that praise God or extols the characteristics of the Prophet. Held at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh), the event brought together a large number of the faithful in the GTA. The night featuring live musical performances and recitations was both emotional and fulfilling. The attendees were able to enjoy the performances of Juneyt Yetkiner on the guitar and voice artist, Murat Ceylan, as well as the Quran recitation of Habib Alizade, and the performance of the Nile Academy student choir performing numerous well-known nasheeds. The Prophet’s Path magazine as well as a small hadith books were handed out at the conclusion of the event as part of a series of events with the same title.
