Newruz Fest put forward the solidarity of Turkic Nations in Toronto once again.
The cultural event themed as Newruz brought people of 18 distinct nations together. The event was organized by Intercultural Dialogue Institute with the sponsorship of Canadian Immigration and Citizenship Ministry. In the event, along with the traditions of Turkic nations, delicious and dazzling foods of Turkic Republics were introduced. The event hosted Cultural Stands of 18 countries including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tataristan, Crimea, Bashkortostan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkmens of Northern Iraq, Mongolia, Bosnia, Albania, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Philippines and Somalia. The fest gained a considerable importance with the attendance of Member of Provincial Parliament of Ontario, Hon. Bratt Butt and Hon. Dr. Shafik Kadri
